Tomavino’s Cellar Ristorante

4.5/55173 South Street Halifax

To anyone who has been to Tomavino’s recently, you know that they are the reigning champions of Halifax pizza, proudly displaying their trophy for the 2006 year in the entry way. Onto the restaurant itself, we walked down into the dungeon like atmosphere (at least, after being outside it seemed dungeony). After adjusting to the light however, it was actually not a bad looking place. Very nice atmosphere. I got a lemon *and* a lime on my beverage. Classy.

Pizza. What we were really there for, along with the zero other people there - gotta love going during the dinner hour. Its the way to dine.

We ordered our pizza, I got my lemon *and* lime decorated beverage and eagerly awaited our much hyped pizza. And than it arrived…

Delicious is one way to put it.

To be more precise: the crust was marvelous. The outside was slightly crispy, with the inside nice and soft. The pizza had a distinct taste of cheese and tomato, with hints of spices adding to the overall flavor. The pepperoni was there, adding to the party in our mouths. Real pepperoni, not some pansy excuse for pepperoni either. Overall, the pizza was well worth it. The price couldn’t be beat ($13.70 for a large), and the taste did not disappoint, even with all the hype surrounding it.

4.5/5 for the current champ of pizza in halifax.

I recently ate here and I have to say that it was the BEST pizza I have ever eaten. The pizza was awsome, and for the price which was retared cheap it was well worth it. I would strinly recomend this place for anyone who loves pizza but does not want to spend a lot for pizza.
